This high-energy acoustic 7-piece inspires toe tapping and dancing to some fabulous old Gypsy jazz tunes of the 20s, 30s and 40s.

Bill McNamara:
Bill McNamara began telling stories in 2005 at Vancouver’s Story Slam. He became the Vancouver Story Slam Champ from Oct. ’05 - Oct. ’06. During that time he went on to perform at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word, The Vancouver Folk Festival, Lafflines, The 15th annual Storytelling Festival, The Individual World Poetry Slam playoffs (as entertainment for some of the world’s best Slam Poets) and at many other events and venues. He was then introduced to the fantastic world of Poetry Slam and has participated and enjoyed it immensely for the last year and a half. He is always excited by the electrifying atmosphere generated by today’s poets. Presently, Bill and the lovely Wanda-Sue Nowicki host Vancouver’s favorite Open Mic, Thundering Word. It runs every 1st, 3rd and, if there is one, 5th Sunday of every month at the Montmartre Cafe. Bill hopes to bring that same quality to "In the House" with some fine, yet vastly diverse, Spoken Word artists.

Nadia Chaney scales all tall lyrics in a cynical bound, wrapping words like bondage. She brings the boisterous, magnetic combination of MC, poet and cultural activist. Rupinder Singh illuminates the stage with his combustible presence, hype verbal currency and fly jet engines. He is BPM's primary beatsmith, ruckus producer and magic coordinator.
