SPECIAL EVENTS & TOURS
The Horrific Home of Beatrice Stainsbury
October 31st, 2009 Hallowe’en Extravaganza
Address: 1940 Napier St.
Although calmly nestled in a quiet, unsuspecting Commercial Dr. neighborhood, no one has dared set foot in the Horrific Home of Beatrice Stainsbury since the early 1900s... until now. On one night only, this house of ill-repute will open its doors to worlds previously unheard of and unexperienced in any haunted house you may have visited. Your senses will tingle with fear, laughter, repulsion, sadness and curiosity, as the macabre, the terrifying and the outrageous join up with moments of heart-wrenching beauty, soul-stirring sadness and unavoidable mirth.

Cryptopher Murdoch:
A child of night and dark alchemy, Cryptopher Murdoch is a master manipulator of objects and perceptions. Born on the haunted plains, son of an exiled family, he traveled the Americas and the southern hemisphere, leaving a trail of broken altars and minds in his wake. Cryptopher arrived on the West Coast four years ago, to infiltrate the circuses and sideshows with his brand of darkness and madness, and to revel in the grey rains.

Crusher:
She's trolling around as we speak. Look out! This resident shapeshifter has been lurking around East Vancouver and working with the likes of the Dusty Flower Pot Cabaret and the Public Dreams Society. A sordid history in shady ventures have left crusher with a bone breaking obsession that she just can't seem to stop... her knowledge of anatomy can make things particularly painful.

|
Shany "Shreds" Diaz:
Born on a full moon, raised by a band of Gypsies who kidnapped her as an infant, Shreds was found in the 80s wandering in the desert with no memory of her past. Performer with life times of experience in Trance Rituals, Incantations and Divinations, we suggest you do not look into her eyes for too long.

|
Martinfanticide Reisle:
Martin sings murder ballads. His inspiration comes from real life experiences. But don't let that scare you. Once the guitar is in his hand, Martin forgets his other favorite passtime. So you're safe... until he stops playing that is.

Ria Vaupotic (performer):
Born on the night of all Hallow's Eve, it is rumored that the moment she entered this world, a cry rang out so ghostly and haunted, it could not have possibly belonged to a human child. This cry made the very earth shudder. Not belonging entirely in this realm, death knocked on her door five times when she was not yet two years old. Stubbornly she pushed it back. Now, don't look in her eyes for more than a minute, or death will claim you in her place.

|
Alizon Device (co-producer, performer):
Being a descendant of witches and orphans, Alizon fervently spends her days capturing souls, manipulating emotions and conquering her next unassuming (fashion) victim. Alizon was born with all odds against her and having defied the laws of life, feels the need to live with reckless abandon with the knowledge that she is here for a reason. However unruffled and demure she may seem, she cannot - no matter how hard she tries - escape her fear and terror brought on by the common stinkbug.

|
Frankie DeVeine (performer):
Suckled by a She-wolf upon being found abandoned on a mountain top, Frankie discovered at an early age her ability to commune with nature, lead a wolf pack, and gut deer with her nails and teeth. Upon emerging into civilization, she quickly realized her ability to enter human minds, and began spending her time drifting among the dreams of her victims, playing in the pools of their memories, and feeding on their most vivid experiences.

|
Elliot Vaughan:
St. Blandina, patron saint of those falsely accused of cannibalism, has her feast day on the second of June. She's hungry.

|

|
Sandra Angela:
Born in a land foreign to us, Sandra was bombarded with tests and needles while still fresh from her mother's womb. This instilled a fear of the world around her that has haunted her since. Her passions now lie in taking on new personalities, as well as forcibly injecting ink into human flesh.

|
Ms. Lydia the Songstress:
Ms. Lydia is only half the woman she used to be. After being sawed in half by a magician she spends countless hours singing out to her other half in hopes that they may be reunited again.

|
Emmanuelle Garrote:
Descended from a long line of executionistos in the Spanish tradition, as a child she witnessed many perfectly engineered strangulations where the victim was brought to the brink of death so slowly that the moment of passing was palpable. A silent witness in the corner of the room, not focused on the act itself, she became attuned to the release of energy that took place. Fascinated by this unique moment in every individual's life, she desperately seeks opportunities to witness the moment of death in all its beauty and catharsis.

|
Ari "Lazy Eye" Lazer:
Born into squalor, moulded in misery, Lazy Eye's tale is not for the faint of heart. With a peculiarly sized brain contorted by the pressures of pre-pubescent electro-shock therapy, Lazy Eye's inner landscape became a breeding ground for terror, tribulation and tapeworms. After allowing this concoction to ferment over many strange years, the result is a tumultuous concoction of skewed stories and lithery limbs. Not for the faint of heart.

|
Orkestar Slivovica Balkan Brass:
After drinking a batch of home-made plum brandy gone disastrously wrong, the entire band has moved on to the afterworld, and they shall celebrate freedom from this mortal coil by having a simultaneous wedding AND funeral party, for you, to help you gather the courage you will need to face the House of Horror!!

|
Sarah Skeleton:
The eldest of 13 girls, Little Sarah was raised in the Appalachian foothills, where she was midwife to her mother since the age of 9. The closest town had no name, or no name she could remember, seeing as she's been dead for night on 150 years. Her lover strangled her with his banjo strings on her 17th birthday, after finding her laying with another man in some dark holler. Now she walks the earth, seeking revenge from the descendants of this man.
