Cash donations The In the House Festival believes that art and culture are crucial to building a vibrant community. The Festival and Performance Series seek to connect people to their community and bring awareness of the vast array of cultures and performance that exist in the city. Differences in language, generation, background and opinion melt away in the face of a strong community and the beauty and the magic of music, dance, and storytelling. The In the House Festival relies on the support of private donors to help offset the costs of programming. We can’t do it without you. There are several ways to contribute including cash donations, in-kind donations, volunteering your time, and/or membership. Cellar ($5 - $50) Basement ($51 - $250) Main Floor ($251 - $2,500) First Floor ($2,501 - $10,000) Penthouse ($10,001 + ) There are two ways to make a donation. 1) You can send a cheque or money order to In the House Festival ***Please note that cheques or money orders should be made out to Arts in Action Society which is our umbrella non-profit society. 2) You can make an on-line donation by clicking the following link to Canada Donates: In-kind Donations In-kind donations can help us more than you may think, and may be the easiest and most effective way for you to contribute. Technical items: Do you or someone you know have sound equipment, walkie talkies, lighting, that you or they are willing to donate or lend to the festival? Production items: Do you or someone you know have foldable and stackable chairs, set decorations, signage, 10 x 10 outdoor canopies that you or they are willing to donate or lend to the festival? Construction items: Do you or someone you know have plywood, nails, screws, fabric that you or they are willing to donate or lend to the festival? Food items: Do you or someone you know own a grocery store or restaurant and are willing to donate food as volunteer and performer refreshments backstage, or for our performance series dinners? Services/skills: Do you or someone you know have a service or skill that would be useful to the smooth running of the festival? These could include: sound technician (must be experienced), photography, videography, website/internet skills, graphic design, carpentry, cooking, decorating. Printing: Do you or someone you know own a print/photocopy shop and are willing to donate printing? Auction items: Do you or someone you know have any art, product or service you or they would like to donate to the silent auction that will be held at our fundraiser? Volunteering is an excellent way to participate in any event. There are many positions available at the In the House Festival.
