Spring Dance - The In the House Festival Fundraiser

Get your dancing shoes on! The In the House Festival fundraiser is back with 2 floors of dancing magic! From bellydance to hula hoop, from salsa to blues, we’ll be showcasing dance from all over the world. Then it’s a massive dance party upstairs, and dance workshops downstairs! To add a little more flavor, come dressed as your favorite dance style (not mandatory of course, but could be fun!).

Mighty Popo

Enjoy a night of fabulous African music as In the House and Caravan World Rhythms team up to bring you The Mighty Popo. A Rwandan/Burundian refugee/survivor, Popo has inherited a love of the traditonal music of Rwanda while also being connected to rock and roll, blues, jazz, reggae and folk traditions. His music reflects his immersion in a world culture which he has navigated with grace, sensitivity and an enormous sense of exploration and fun. With special guests Yoro Noukoussi and Nico.

Support the In the House Festival and get rid of those piles and piles of Canadian Tire money. Look through your junk drawers, your wallets, behind the couch... I’m sure you’ll find some somewhere. Everyone has some. Ask your friends if they have some lying around that they know they’ll never use. We can certainly find a use for it!

In the House Festival CD now available!
Music from around the world.
To celebrate our 5th year anniversary we have launched a 2-CD compilation of 25 musical artists who have all performed at In the House at some point in the past 5 years. The first CD features music from around the world. From Africa to Asia, from India to Ireland, this CD will take you on a tour of the globe you’ll never forget. The second CD is an eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, hip hop, reggae, jazz, and singer/songwriting talent.
