Music Theatre Dance Spoken Word Storytelling

 

Dawn Zoe: DAWN ZOE is a local musician and songwriter who expresses herself through accordion, piano and voice. Current projects include ALCHEMY, an electro-acoustic trio creating ambient downtempo music, and MY BACKYARD, an acoustic trio exploring both structured and free improvisation. Dawn also teaches the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program, an outreach program where parents learn rhymes, songs, and stories to share with their babies and toddlers.

Naomi Steinberg: Naomi has told stories in places as varied as the 11th Annual International Storytelling Festival in Vancouver, Canada to the “Science Meets Dharma” project in Southern India. She has developed workshops for schools in Morocco, Switzerland and Vancouver as well as for the Cortona Conference in Tuscany, Italy.

Adrian Wirth: Love brought Adrian Wirth to the West Coast for the first time 4 years ago. Since then, he has found himself in many various situations. He taught biology in a Highschool in Switzerland, was a science teacher for Buddhist monks in India, a fire-performer in Marrakesh, an intentional grapeseedoil-maker with the wine-wizards of Uesslingen, a creator of futuristic room-installations with syntosil and a chai cooker for magical evenings.

Josh Williams: a recipe for celebrating life in the face of extinction (aka How to make a Josh):
-mix equal parts of serious(ly) mad scientist with mirthful mischief-maker.
-sprinkle in some romance and a pack mentality.
-add culinary prowess and a desire to sparkle.
-douse in a sugary sauce of your choosing and set the whole thing ablaze.

Candice Curlypaws: Design dreamer - imaginator - rhythm rider - clarinet cryer- tap dancer - romancer - soul singer - fire flinger -Working with a wide variety of skills, Candicemoves through life creating puppets, puppet shows, costumes, fire dance productions, cabaret style song and dance numbers, and musical ensembles. Inspired by rhythm and vibration, Candice continues to deeply explore performance and art through character and emotion.
Nereid Lake: Nereid Lake was born in Vancouver in the 1970s.  She studied Harp at King Edward Music School, under Heidi Krutzen, who for many years played First Harp for Vancouver Opera.  Since leaving music school, where she got straight A’s in Performance and won many awards, Nereid has concentrated her musical talents on composing her own music and arranging popular “classic rock” songs for the Harp.  Occasionally playing at weddings and other private parties, Nereid’s notable stage performances have included a harp-and-spoken-word duet with actor/rapper Malcolm Jamal Warner.  She currently resides in Vancouver.
